Pay: $23.00 – $28.00 per hour (Wages based on experience)

Essential duties and responsibilities include, however are not limited to:
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment
-Diagnose mechanical problems, repair and rebuild equipment
-Diagnoses problems and repairs brakes, transmissions, rear-ends, clutches, diesel engines, and electrical problems
-Performs all aspects of trailer repairs
-Performs all phases of vehicle repairs
-Removes, cleans, repairs, reinstalls and adjusts all vehicle components
-Prepares and completes work orders on equipment repair
-Maintains completed paperwork on equipment
-Makes service calls as needed
-Works closely with other mechanic technicians and advises them on repairs
-Evaluates completed work and conducts final inspection of equipment prior to release to ensure compliance with federal and state codes regulations
-Stick weld for repair

Mental Effort, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
-Ability to take direction and follow instruction
-Ability to trouble shoot electrical, mechanical, diesel engine problems
-Experience working on tractor trailers, excavators, and lift trucks
-Ability to understand type and nature of essential job functions
-Ability to understand necessary safety procedures and precautions
-Strong knowledge of hand tools/power tools
-Ability to travel to off-site locations for repair

Physical Effort:
-Ability to lift and carry approximately 80 pounds
-Ability to sit, stand, slouch or lie for extended periods
-Ability to work safely around heavy machinery and heavy equipment
-Ability to hold air impact tools up to 30 lbs

Recommended Training/Education:
-High School Diploma or GED preferred
-Auto Mechanic
-Heavy Duty Truck and Heavy Equipment Mechanic
– Must have a valid driver’s license
-Class A CDL a plus

Minimum Experience: 5 years (Preferred)

Pay: $15.00 – $21.00 per hour (Wages based on experience)

  • The Ideal Candidate has 5+ years of experience preferably with a background from a small welding shop or pipeline
  • Knowledge of Stick welding process, set up and operate plus be mobile
  • Capability to repair heavy machinery and equipment back to factory specifications, structural integrity and appearance
  • Ability to repair roll off containers
  • Experience with hard facing welding
  • Welding Certification a plus
  • Fabricate and repair construction equipment both in shop and out in the field
  • Experience with plasma torch, cutting torch and a number of hand tools
  • Certified Forklift operator
  • Ability to carry out instructions provided in written, oral or diagrammatic form
  • Ability to perform work required in a timely manner in order to meet service schedules and commitments
  • Dependable, responsible team player with a positive attitude
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle

Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour (Wages based on experience)

RJ Industrial is looking for a highly motivated heavy metal cutter. Prefer experience with cutting heavy/thick steel with a 6 ft cutting torch. Paid travel time, mileage and per diem.

Essential Functions:

  • Using a torch supplied by liquid propane and oxygen to cut steel scrap to specific sizes for shipment to consumers
  • Required to move some materials by hand (usually less than 50#) while performing these duties, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use their hands, use tools, kneel, crouch, bend over and hear well
  • Torchmen regularly work near moving heavy equipment such as cranes and wheel loaders
  • The employee is required to work outside in all weather conditions except when lightning is present
  • Maintain and preserve all required personal protective equipment that is required to perform the job: steel-toe safety boots, leather gloves, hardhat, face shield / safety glasses, hearing protection, leather spats, cotton or flame resistant clothing
  • Maintain all torching equipment on daily basis to achieve maximum operation of equipment
  • Previous experience processing rail cars preferred

  • English/Spanish language – verbal, reading and written
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 Lbs
